The University of Alabama System compensation committee approved approximately $4.6 million in salaries for new and promoted faculty and staff at all three campuses on Sept. 28.
Since the summer, the UA System, University of Alabama, University of Alabama in Huntsville and University of Alabama at Birmingham, added new positions and increased the salaries of faculty and staff members.

Mark Foley, formerly board secretary, will be vice chancellor for administration and chief of staff, a new position. His salary is $370,000.
