First Alert Weather: Warm, dry weather

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Temperatures are mainly in the mid to upper 50s this morning, while Birmingham sits in the lower 60s. Expect a good mix of sun and clouds today as highs climb into the low and mid-80s. Overnight, temperatures will hold in the 50s and low 60s again.

THE NEXT BIG THING: The quiet and extreme dry pattern continues through Wednesday. Expect above-average highs with plenty of sunshine in the mid and upper 80s. No big swing in the temperature is expected this week. In fact, by Friday, we could be nearing 90 in a few communities.

An isolated chance for a few showers or storms on Thursday is expected in parts of west-northwest Alabama, while the majority of us will remain dry. The next big thing we are tracking is a chance for a few showers or storms impacting central Alabama Sunday morning and into the afternoon. This front will weaken as it moves through the state, and rain amounts will be light. Temperatures may trend a little bit cooler by Sunday afternoon into the upper 70s.
