Bank sues Nick Pihakis over unpaid loan as another restaurant closes

HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WBRC) – A bank is suing a restaurateur claiming he defaulted on a loan financing the construction of one of his restaurants that abruptly closed earlier this month.

Robertson Banking Company filed the lawsuit in Jefferson County Circuit Court on April 28, against EMB Hospitality, LLC and its managing member Nick R. Pihakis, claiming it is owed more than $625,000.

According to court documents, Robertson Banking extended a $1,124,408 loan to EMB Hospitality on Feb. 4, 2022, to finance the buildout of Tasty Town.
