BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Some residents in Five Points South say they were kept awake early Saturday morning, May 2, by the sounds of stunt driving and illegal exhibition driving, and some say the problem is more than just a nuisance.
‘Smell the burning rubber through the window’
Video captured near Five Points South reveals the loud commotion that jolted neighbors awake in the early morning hours Saturday.
A resident told WBRC they could smell burning tires through their window and say they have witnessed drivers doing donuts in the area before.
Ace Graham, a business owner who lives in Five Points South and serves as a member of the Five Points Alliance, an organization working to make the area cleaner and safer, says the behavior puts real people at risk.
“These are communities where people are at,” Graham said. “You know, there’s some older lady walking across the street in Five Points South. There’s some young kids that are in this area as well too.”…
