Major drug investigation takes drugs, guns off the streets in Brookside

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – Authorities in Jefferson County say a major drug investigation in Brookside led to the seizure of cocaine, cash, guns and a marijuana growing operation.

Brookside Police Chief Marcus Sellers says investigators arrested William Henry Moore Jr. during a traffic stop last week with help from Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies, along with information from neighbors and business owners.

Sellers says Moore had been on investigators’ radar for years. Moore is now facing multiple drug charges, including trafficking cocaine.

Police say investigators recovered about $500,000, 500 grams of cocaine, guns and evidence of what authorities described as a crack cocaine operation…
