A.G. Gaston Motel Closing Historic Wing for 18-Month Renovation

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A major $4 million investment from the National Park Service will transform the 1954 wing of the A.G. Gaston Motel in Birmingham.

The historic Civil Rights landmark will temporarily close its doors for renovation starting May 9.
