BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — Birmingham City Council members voted Tuesday to recall controversial changes to the city’s nightlife safety ordinance before it could become law, signaling a reset after pushback from business owners and the mayor.
The resolution, approved during Tuesday’s council meeting, pulls back the amended Kelvyn Felder Ordinance, which had been awaiting action from Mayor Randall Woodfin, and sends it back to committee for further review.
