A Florida man has been taken into custody and police are still seeking a Florida woman woman in regard to an alleged scam that cost a Tennessee woman $9,800.
According to court reports, the victim reported to Hendersonville police in late January that she believed she had been defrauded after the suspects impersonated employees of Ascend Federal Credit Union and reported her account had been compromised.
The suspects reportedly told her to withdraw her money from Ascend and deposit it into a JPMorgan Chase account they provided in order to “secure” the funds. The victim told police she deposited $9,800 via an ATM in Hendersonville…
