BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The home of Justin Shaw, a local firefighter, is now more accessible thanks to a partnership between the Gary Sinise Foundation and Wells Fargo. Now on the road to recovery after a severe injury sustained in the field.
In 2024, Shaw was struck in the head by a burning tree, suffering a severe brain injury leaving him having to relearn how to walk, talk and handle basic everyday tasks. Now his home has received some new modifications making it more ADA compliant to make that recovery process as smooth as possible.
