Certified Kitchen + Bakery
Tucked away in the cozy neighborhood of Hyde Park, this bakery blends old Boise charm with modern culinary creations. Owners David and Lizzy Rex infuse every menu item with history and character. Every pastry starts with scratch-made recipes and high-quality ingredients. Seasonal menus allow the bakery to highlight fresh ingredients, showcase new flavors, and create unique experiences throughout the year. The 52-year-old sourdough starter is a star in many of their bakery items. Some local favorites include housemade sourdough English muffins, carrot cake, fruit crostadas, coffee cake, brownies, and cookies. Beyond pastries, the kitchen also offers a variety of take-home dinner options.
Burread Bakery

Sunshine Spice Bakery and Cafe
In 2019, four Afghan sisters—Bahar, Khatera, Narges, and Homeyra Shams—opened their own bakery, drawing on their backgrounds to infuse rich flavors and traditions. Drawing inspiration from their Afghan heritage, the sisters incorporate a variety of spices and flavors they grew up with. Middle Eastern flavors are found throughout their menu, including saffron, cardamom, rosewater, and many others. Each item tells a story through the handcrafted pastries, tarts, cookies, baklava, puddings, and specialty coffee drinks. Sunshine Spice Bakery and Cafe has gained national recognition as a James Beard Award semifinalist as a local destination in Boise.
Flourish Bakery LLC
This French-inspired bakery is known for its macarons, cakes, and gluten-free desserts. Idaho bakers Sarah Davis and Danielle Burns founded this beautiful storefront to bring warm pastries and smiles to the Treasure Valley. After building a loyal following at local farmers’ markets, they recently opened a brick-and-mortar location in Garden City. Customers will be pleasantly surprised with some of their recent flavors, including pistachio honey, lemon coconut, and strawberry passionfruit. In fact, they also serve specialty coffee drinks. You’ll be encompassed with sweet aromas and smiles while visiting this homey and inviting local bakery.
Caffe’ Sorrento
Tony and Emma Curcuru founded Caffe’ Sorrento to bring flavors of Sicily and old-world Italian tradition to Boise. Sharing generations of family recipes and love of their ancestry in their storefront allows the Curcurus to bring their culture to Boise. Handcrafted cannoli, focaccia, pastries, cookies, gelato, and espresso delicacies line the shelves. A small, intimate menu allows the owners to focus on perfecting each flavor rather than serving a large selection where flavors could get lost in the mix. Don’t miss out on this little trip through Italy right here in the Treasure Valley…
