CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — Rodeo athletes often depend on sponsors to cover the high cost of competing, with fuel alone running into tens of thousands of dollars each year, according to professional barrel racer Megan McLeod-Sprogg.
“Fuel’s probably our biggest most consistent cost going down the road,” McLeod-Sprogg said. “Speaking for myself and probably multiple others, I think we are fair to say we spend anywhere from 40 to 50 thousand dollars plus just in fuel alone in a year.”
