Historic Nampa is moving forward with traffic improvement construction projects

NAMPA, Idaho — Future generations will be able to enjoy the Historic North Nampa for years to come as the city has drawn plans to improve the infrastructure.

With multiple construction projects intended to “improve safety and connectivity in historic North Nampa” underway, City of Nampa officials hosted an open house on April 23 at Idaho Arts Charter School for the community to learn more about the plans.

The 16th Avenue North Signalized Pedestrian Crossing project, which will begin late 2026, will add “a new signalized pedestrian crossing,” as well as upgrade and relocate bus stops.

Existing sidewalks will be reconstructed with new curb ramps set to be installed in order to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. Construction is scheduled to be completed by 2027…
