BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Idaho Statesman first reported that a Boise police officer cleared in the 2024 shooting during a prison escape at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center is now being sued by a correctional officer who was injured by friendly fire.
Christopher Wilske, a corporal with the Idaho Department of Correction, filed a civil lawsuit against the City of Boise, Ada County, and Boise Police Officer Wayne Anderson, alleging excessive force and negligence.
The shooting happened in the early morning hours of March 20, 2024, as officers responded to an ambush tied to inmate Skylar Meade.
