Man sentenced to 14 years for fentanyl sale that caused Boise man’s death

BOISE, Idaho — A man from the Republic of Congo has been sentenced to 14 years in prison in Idaho for selling fentanyl that resulted in a death.

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Idaho, court records show Boniface Binene, also known as “Bones,” 25, is a citizen of the Republic of Congo, Brazzaville and a lawful permanent resident of the United States.

Authorities said that the victim, identified as Andrew Doyle, 31, of Boise, used the drug and died in his parked vehicle outside Binene’s home. The Ada County Coroner’s Office determined the cause of death was acute fentanyl intoxication…
