Boise Airport expansion spurs BOI Upgrade, adding up to 10 gates and new public art

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Boise Airport has launched BOI Upgrade, a multi-year capital improvement program designed to expand and modernize airport infrastructure in step with regional growth, including the addition of up to 10 new gates in Concourse A.

Due to this expansion, 1.2 percent of capital funds will be allocated to public art projects, totaling between $3 million and $5 million over the next five years. Boise Airport and the city’s Department of Arts & History identified up to eight locations for public art. The city is inviting artists to submit qualifications for the first wave of calls.
