Neighbors report loud boom before house fire near Lowell Elementary

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise fire investigators are working to determine what caused a house fire in the North End after neighbors reported hearing what sounded like an explosion before flames broke out.

Firefighters were called to a home near 28th and Hazel just before 7 p.m. Thursday. When crews arrived, at least six fire engines and other emergency responders were still on scene as firefighters worked to put out hot spots and secure the area.
