A final auction: the legacy of a family business

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A family business spanning four generations and nearly 90 years is changing. Closing their original location, but not before one final hoorah.

David Wesely Jr. is the current owner of Main Auction, making him the fourth generation to run the business. Starting with his great, great uncle, Paul Owen in 1938. Wesely says the building was designed to be the Main Auction and it has stayed that way all this time.

The building is located on Main st. in Boise between Whitewater Park Blvd and 29th st. It was built using materials from old barracks at Gowan Field at the end of World War II. However, due to a rapidly growing city, some tough decisions needed to be made…
