Weiser, ID — The Home Depot Construction Combine 2026 transformed the Home Depot parking lot in Meridian on April 28 into a bustling center of construction education, career exploration, and community service as approximately 200 high school students from local construction programs gathered for the annual event.
Among those participating were 45 students from WHS Construction Level 2 and Level 3 classes, who spent the day gaining real-world experience and connecting with industry professionals. Nearly the entire Home Depot parking lot was utilized for the large-scale event, which featured more than 20 construction companies and educational organizations.
Half of the parking lot was dedicated to interactive industry exhibits where students explored career and internship opportunities in the construction field. Each company provided hands-on activities that allowed students to test practical skills related to various trades. Activities included operating large equipment and constructing different structural components such as floors, walls, cement forms, and concrete projects.
Students also had the opportunity to explore specialty trades including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and excavation, with each station offering engaging hands-on experiences. …
