Taser Deployed on Intoxicated Person Resisting Arrest
On 07/10/2026, a Trooper from the Revere Barracks observed a male lying on the ground at Constitution Beach in East Boston. The Trooper approached the individual and observed him in possession of a bottle of alcohol. Less than an hour earlier, the individual had been evicted from Constitution Beach and issued a 24-hour trespass notice for public drinking.
The Trooper informed the individual that he was under arrest. He began walking away and ignored multiple commands to stop. When instructed to comply, the individual refused, stating, “I am not doing that (expletive).” He then clenched his fists and began walking toward the Trooper.
While displaying her Taser, the Trooper issued additional verbal warnings, but the individual failed to comply. The Trooper deployed her Taser. The individual was taken into custody and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, and other related offenses.
