A Massachusetts man convicted of a fatal shooting was granted parole after more than 15 years behind bars.
Marcus Amos pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 2011 and was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole. On Sept. 4, the state’s parole board granted Amos’ release, according to parole documents.
In September 2008, Amos, then 20, was dating a woman who lived in Somerville. Amos discovered that the woman’s former romantic partner, 28-year-old Keith McCoy, had visited her in her apartment. Amos told the woman he did not want McCoy to re-enter her life…
