The letter below, by an ex-Boston Symphony violinist, has been declined for publication by the newspaper of wreckers. You read it here first.

The Times is disseminating a false narrative in its article, “Crisis Follows Conductor’s Dismissal at the Boston Symphony.”

It implies that the 40% decline in audience attendance in the past 20 years is somehow linked to the tenure of Music Director Andris Nelsons.
