Mass. weather: Weekend rain could turn to snow as temperatures drop

Cooler conditions are set to take hold across Massachusetts as a cold front is expected to move in Saturday night.

Sunday will see high temperatures in the mid 50s in most areas, with Boston topping out at 56 degrees, Worcester and Springfield reaching 54 degrees and Cape Cod & the Islands getting up to 56 degrees.

Rain is expected throughout the day, as the National Weather Service predicts a 100% chance of precipitation. Showers could begin before 5 a.m. and continue to 9 p.m., ultimately dropping a quarter inch to half inch of precipitation…
