Father Ron Cattany: A life of service to Coloradans

Father Ron Cattany comes from a family of Colorado pioneers. He’s a pioneer himself, always finding new ways to serve the land and people of Colorado. First, spending 35 years in public service for state government, and now, as a Catholic priest. He is pastor at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, serving Mead and Berthoud.

Cattany’s grandparents all immigrated to Colorado in 1885. His father was born in Russell Gulch, above Central City. The early Cattany family eventually moved to Firestone, then Denver.

Cattany’s paternal grandparents died a year apart in 1919 and 1920, leaving his father an orphan at 12. They were buried from the Catholic Cathedral in Denver…
