UA Next S7VNS: North Carolina commit Amare Patterson leads off top performers from action-packed tournament

BRADENTON, Fla. – IMG Academy’s sprawling campus played host to the Under Armour Next S7VNS this weekend, a three-day 7-on-7 tournament featuring a collection of highly-recruited prospects across the 2027, 2028, and 2029 recruiting cycles. Carrollton (Ga.) and Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy battled the Wunna Warriors, a staple on Overtime’s OT7 circuit, and three other Under Armour-sponsored all-star teams with Carrollton ultimately claiming the championship on Sunday morning.

The collection of talent primarily allocated to the 2028 and 2029 classes would not succumb to both the heat and the elements of a Florida summer. Here are the most noteworthy performers from yet another competitive 7-on-7 outing.

ALPHA DOG: AMARE PATTERSON, NORTH CAROLINA TOP247 WR COMMIT

It has been a banner off-season for the Top247 receiver out of South Carolina as he’s now a two-time Alpha Dog recipient. After earning the distinction at The Opening Miami back in January, Patterson blazed new personal records this spring in both the 100-meter dash (10.50 seconds) and the 200-meter dash (21.51), ultimately placing second in both at the SCHSL 4A State Championships in May…
