Allegiant announces new St. Pete-Boston flights, plus Sarasota-Providence route

Two affordable new northeast travel routes are coming to the area, thanks to Allegiant. The airline today announced a slew of new spring 2027 routes, including direct flights from St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) to Boston, Massachusetts via Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). The new destinations also include a Sarasota to Providence, Rhode Island route.

Limited to the spring break season, both of the new routes will operate from February 13 through April 27 of 2027. Tickets for the newly announced routes are now available. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found at Allegiant.com. At the moment, the number of flights available is extremely limited, though more may be added.

The route expansion appears targeted at bringing the northeast to the Gulf Coast during spring break (visitors our local businesses will happily welcome), but it also gives us an excuse for some springtime travel up north to see the historic and picturesque cities. Sign us up for a walking history tour in Boston. Just be sure to bring a jacket…
