MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A joint enforcement effort targeting impaired and dangerous driving on Manatee County roads has resulted in several arrests over the weekend.
On Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Traffic Unit and the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) conducted a joint DUI saturation patrol. The coordinated operation focused on heavy traffic times and locations known for dangerous driving behaviors.
According to authorities, the operation resulted in the following enforcement actions:
- Six drivers were arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).
- Two drivers were arrested for street racing.
