Piece of World Trade Center steel stands as 9/11 memorial in Bradenton

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – Friday marks 25 years since the Sept. 11 attacks, and a piece of that history stands in Bradenton.

A steel beam from the World Trade Center was brought to the Suncoast more than a decade ago and turned into a memorial.

Two pieces of steel stand at Southern Manatee Fire Rescue. They are not replicas. They were cut from a 3,500-pound beam taken from the World Trade Center…
