TAMPA, Fla. – Residents in the Tampa Bay area are bracing for a week of intensifying heat and sporadic thunderstorms as temperatures are projected to climb into the mid-90s by next weekend.
According to the latest National Weather Service data, the week will begin with mostly cloudy conditions and a high of 89°F on Sunday. While Monday remains mostly cloudy with a high near 90°F, the atmosphere is expected to become more active Monday night.
