HELL’S KITCHEN, Manhattan (PIX11) — A U.S. Postal Service mail truck driver has been arrested after a fatal hit-and-run crash in Hell’s Kitchen, according to police.
The NYPD said 61-year-old James Simmons was arrested on Sunday after the deadly incident on Saturday. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, police said.

This comes just one day after a 66-year-old man, who has yet to be identified, was struck by the vehicle just after 5:30 a.m. while crossing the street at the intersection of West 55th Street and Ninth Avenue, according to authorities.
