A Bronx woman has been indicted more than a year after claiming a man was holding a bomb aboard a Metro-North train on its way to Connecticut, forcing hundreds of passengers to evacuate in Westchester County, prosecutors said.
Bronx resident Albertyna Mendoza, 27, was arraigned on Thursday, Sept. 3, on a felony charge of second-degree falsely reporting an incident, the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office announced.
The charge stems from an incident on May 3, 2025, when Mendoza was traveling aboard a New Haven-bound Metro-North train through Westchester at around 4:30 p.m., prosecutors said.
