A new ShopRite supermarket is set to open in Edgewater, taking over the space left behind after 115 workers lost their jobs when Acme closed its doors last month.
Inserra Supermarkets, which operates ShopRite locations across North Jersey, will open the new store at 481 River Road in the Edgewater Commons shopping center in Edgewater on Sept. 19 following a 7 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to an Inserra spokesperson.
