New York Police Department officers arrested a man carrying a machete on the subway. At 11:30 a.m. on Friday, police officers at the C and E lines on 50th Street and 8th Avenue spotted an “erratic” man carrying a blade covered in a red substance that appeared to be blood on his back. Police described the man as “acting in a disorderly manner” on the mezzanine platform.
