BMW Driver, 20, Trapped After Crash Into Tree, Pole On Route 17: Police

Paramus police responded around 12:10 a.m. to the northbound lanes near Paramus Chevrolet for a report of a multi-vehicle crash with entrapment, Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.

Officers found a 2021 BMW M3 that had lost control in the center lane before striking a tree and a utility pole.

The driver, a 20-year-old man from River Vale, was trapped inside the vehicle and drifting in and out of consciousness, police said. Officers began rescue efforts and were able to extricate him from the car. Paramus EMS and Valley Hospital paramedics responded, and the driver was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, according to Guidetti…
