The Trader Joe’s at 72nd and Broadway will temporarily close on Sunday, May 17 to undergo a remodel that’s expected to take several months, the company has confirmed to ILTUWS.
We first caught wind of the impending closure from a reader who overheard two store employees discussing where they’d be transferred during the shutdown. We then reached out to Trader Joe’s corporate communications for confirmation.
“On May 17th, the Trader Joe’s store at 72nd and Broadway will temporarily close, allowing the store to undergo a remodel that will improve the shopping experience for customers, and the working experience for our Crew Members,” a company spokesperson told us. “We expect this remodel to take several months to complete, and we will reopen the store as soon as we possibly can. While this store is temporarily closed, you’ll find some of your favorite Crew Members working in our surrounding stores.”…
