A Friday night delivery in Brownsville turned violent when a 41-year-old worker was shot outside a Chinese takeout shortly after 8 p.m., police said. The man was hit in the left thigh and ended up lying in the middle of Riverdale Avenue near Hinsdale Street, according to witnesses and authorities. He was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he is expected to survive.
