Woman Struck With Bottle During Early Morning Assault in Bronx, NYPD Seeks Suspect

Bronx, NY — A 31-year-old woman was hit in the head with a bottle during a street assault in the Bronx, leaving her injured as the attacker fled on foot, according to the NYPD. The incident happened early Sunday, April 5, outside 1258 Shakespeare Avenue in the Highbridge section.

Police say the assault began as a verbal dispute around 1:05 a.m. before escalating into violence.
