The BMW test drive was short and disastrous. An SUV driven by a potential customer with a salesman onboard left the Mamaroneck BMW dealership on Boston Post Road late Friday afternoon (May 1) and promptly slammed into another vehicle. The crash was big enough to close Boston Post Road for nearly two hours and send several people to the hospital including a toddler who had been riding in a carseat.
Official details are still pending but The Loop has learned that the wreck began as the BMW rear ended a Mazda at a high rate speed of speed, crushing the rear of the smaller vehicle and driving it forward into Chevy Tahoe. Five people were in the three vehicles: the two in BMW, a mother and child in the Mazda, and a man at the wheel of the Tahoe. Mother and child were taken to Jacobi Medical Center in The Bronx.
