Vape Smoke Sparks Bronx Bus Beatdown On Ogden Avenue

What started as a blast of vape smoke on a northbound Bx13 bus turned into a brutal group attack in the early hours of April 19, 2026, in the Bronx, according to police. A 19-year-old man was assaulted in the vicinity of 959 Ogden Avenue after an unknown person allegedly blew vape smoke in his face, witnesses told investigators.

From there, the encounter escalated into a full-on beating. The suspects reportedly bolted from the bus, only to hop back on through the rear doors and continue the assault before taking off again.

Incident details and a wanted alert were shared by NYPD Crime Stoppers, which says the assault happened at approximately 12:20 a.m. The unit is urging anyone with information to speak up and is offering a reward of up to $3,500 for a tip that leads to an arrest and indictment.
