NEW YORK (PIX11) — Two people were struck and killed by separate subway trains in New York City just minutes apart, according to the MTA and FDNY.
The first incident was reported at the Lexington Avenue-53rd Street station at 12:38 p.m. on Monday. EMS responded and found one person dead upon arrival, according to the FDNY.

The second incident was reported four minutes later at 12:42 p.m. in Long Island City at the 23rd Street-Court Square station. That person was also dead when EMS arrived, according to officials.
