Staten Islander who was temporarily paralyzed after freak Polar Plunge accident graduates from law school

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Ever since his life changed dramatically following a freak accident that left him temporarily paralyzed 7 1/2 years ago, Michael Wright has been determined to turn something bad into good.

The Mariners Harbor resident, who was injured while taking part in a Polar Plunge fundraising effort at South Beach, took yet another step toward his ultimate goal on Thursday.

Wright graduated from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in White Plains and now plans to practice law in the corporate field with the intent of advocating for disability rights…
