STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Annadale home of a decades-long Staten Island environmentalist caught fire on Sunday afternoon.
The fire was first reported at 11:09 a.m. on the top floor of a two-story home located at the 300 block of Harold Avenue, between Lenzie and Kinghorn streets, according to a spokesperson for the FDNY.
According to public records, one of the residents of the home is Ellen Pratt, an environmentalist and 1987 Advance Woman of Achievement, who for 35 years had been a leading figure of the Protectors of Pine Oak Woods, a parkland advocacy group…
