NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for New York City as another round of heavy rain and severe thunderstorms batters the region.
The advisory is in effect until 8:45 a.m. on Monday, as the National Weather Service predicts there could be up to two inches of rain citywide, which may result in flooding on roadways and streets.

Showers are expected to be scattered throughout the day and will dissipate early Monday evening.
“While the forecast continues to evolve, now is the time for New Yorkers to prepare,” said NYC Emergency Management Commissioner Christina Farrell. “Heavy rainfall can quickly create dangerous travel conditions and flash flooding. We encourage everyone to stay informed, plan ahead for Monday’s commute, and never drive or walk through flooded roadways. New Yorkers in basement apartments should know their exits now and be ready to move to a higher floor when heavy rain begins.”…
