NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – Fatman Scoop, a well-known hip-hop artist and hype man who died in 2024, could get his own official day in New York City.
City Council Member Yusef Salaam recently introduced a resolution to officially deem August 6 as “Fatman Scoop Recognition Day.” Isaac Freeman, better known as Fatman Scoop, is best known for his “electrifying call-and-response style” on songs like “Be Faithful,” “Lose Control,” “Love Like This” and “It’s Like That.”
Salaam included the artist’s famous “Be Faithful” opening line in the text of the resolution: “you got a 100 dollar bill, put your hands up; you got a 20 dollar bill, put your hands up.”…
