Five unidentified Montclair Public Schools staff members have been put on administrative leave with pay “pending the outcome of an investigation,” documents show. District officials did not immediately disclose the reasons for their leave or the nature of the investigations.
The school board approved one of the employees’ leaves on March 18, after it took effect March 16, board documents show. And the Board of Education is scheduled to vote on four more employees’ leaves with pay at its meeting Wednesday, April 29, according to the board’s human resources report.
Leave for the remaining four employees started March 28, March 26, March 24 and April 15, the report shows. The expected approval is based on the “recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools,” the report says.
