Police are searching for a man who they say attempted to rape a 36-year-old woman inside a building in Melrose.
Authorities say the woman was inside a building near East 151st Street and Melrose Avenue around 4 a.m. Saturday, when the man pulled her into an elevator. They say the man pulled her pants down and tried to sexually assault her before he exited the elevator and ran away.
EMS took the woman to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where she is expected to recover, according to police…
