A well-known advocate for upstate farm workers has been released from immigration detention.
Dolores Bustamante Romero was detained during a routine check-in appointment in Buffalo by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. On Wednesday, Judge Meredith Vacca ordered Bustamante released from custody while the matter plays out in court.
