Man dies when motorcycle becomes airborne, hits concrete support on highway in Buffalo

Buffalo, N.Y. — A 32-year-old Lockport man died Wednesday after his motorcycle struck a concrete barrier and became airborne on the Interstate 190 on-ramp in Buffalo.

Galen E. Owens was traveling at a high rate of speed on the Elm Street on-ramp to northbound I-190 around 5 p.m. Wednesday when his 2016 Yamaha struck a concrete barrier on a curve, according to New York State Police.
