BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Local nonprofit thrift boutique Hopebridge celebrated the soft launch of its new location on Friday, a move the organization says will help expand its mission of neighbors helping neighbors.
The store, which is now located at 87 Lake Street in Hamburg, sells clothing at a reduced rate in an effort to help those facing financial hardship, then invests its income back into the local community.
“We aren’t just a thrift store,” Hopebridge Founder Jill Redman said in a statement. “We are a place where people can come when they are struggling and know that someone will listen. Sometimes someone needs a coat. Sometimes a child needs school clothes. Sometimes a family simply needs somebody to say, ‘We’re going to help you figure this out.’ That’s what we want Hopebridge to be.”…
