Tips On How To Make More Money At Your Yard Sale

Yard Sale season is here in Western New York. The snow has melted (mostly) and we can finally feel comortable putting our stuff on our front yard to see if anyone else will pay money for it. If you’re planning on having one, what are some tips to make sure you make a ton of money?

Yard sales are a lot of work

We always think that we’re going to just put some stuff out in the driveway or our lawn and people are going to come over and give us a bunch of money for it.

Unfortunately, it’s not always that easy. There’s a lot of work that goes into yard sales. You have to not only gather up all the stuff you’re going to sell, but then you have to price it and bring it out into the yard. You have to cover it up and hope people don’t steal it overnight before the sale happens or bring it out early in the morning the day of the sale. You’ve got to advertise it so people know you’re doing it. Which means you need to call the paper or at the very least make some signs.

Then you have to commit to being there to sell your stuff all weekend long. And what will you do if it rains?
