PORT CHARLOTTE — More than a thousand people gathered at the Port Charlotte Library on Saturday to bid farewell to the location that has served the community since 1968.
Many of them left with cloth bags stuffed with surplus books they picked up during the last-day sale at the Aaron Street library branch, which is now closed for good.
